Greetings in the Name of Jesus,
It has been a little more than a month since Hamas terrorists first infiltrated Israel from the Gaza Strip in an attack that launched the two into war. We have since witnessed a mounting escalation that has allowed this conflict to permeate throughout the region, crossing borders into neighboring countries! We have been receiving countless prayer requests and calls to action for immediate help from Southern Lebanon where ReBridge has been heavily involved.
ReBridge partners with many ministries and churches in Lebanon, Israel, West Bank, and Egypt, all of whom are deeply affected by this conflict. Hundreds of thousands of innocent Israeli, Palestinian, and Lebanese citizens have been drastically impacted and continue to be at risk. Our hearts break to see the massive loss of life and increasing numbers of displaced people on all fronts. Fighting on the Lebanese-Israeli border has continued to escalate and poses an ever-increasing threat to our brothers and sisters in the area. ReBridge must mobilize to help our partners who are actively bringing aid to those fleeing the area, even going as far as positioning themselves at the border in the midst of conflict. This aid is coming in the form of food rations, tents, fuel, medicine, and so much more.
Prior to this war, a mission trip had already been scheduled to visit our partners in Egypt on January 6, 2024. We have made contacts in Al-Arish in the Sinai Desert where many refugees are heading from Gaza. We want to fulfill some of the physical needs as we are able, but even more importantly, we want to bring a hope and peace that only comes from Jesus Christ; to be a light in a very dark place. If our partners run out of resources and are forced to retreat, that darkness has an opportunity to close in on those who remain. While others are occupied with fighting and the politics of war, we want to share the Good News of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus, just as we were each commissioned to do.
