Glory to God – Antioch Church Rising from the Ashes

Dear Friends,
I write to you today with a heart full of praise to our mighty Lord Jesus Christ. I want to share with you the incredible story of what God has done in Antioch (Antakya), Turkey.
Several years ago, Pastor Hamdullah and Elmas began to build a church in a residential neighborhood—without parking, surrounded by Muslim families, and facing what looked like impossible circumstances. I remember telling them it seemed impossible for a church to grow there.
But our Lord had other plans.
Then came the devastating earthquake. In a city of about one million, over 150,000 lives were lost. And yet, the church building—still under construction at the time—became a place of refuge, hope, and service. The believers rose up in the midst of tragedy and began to serve thousands of people. Out of ashes and loss, God has brought forth new life.
Today, Antioch is being rebuilt into a brand-new city, and at the heart of it stands this church—alive, growing, and filled with people worshipping the Lord. From the rubble to revival, the Lord has used His people to bring hope, healing, and salvation to many.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
Now, the work is not yet finished. The church and ministry centers still need $70,000 to complete construction so they can continue serving the community and shining the light of Christ in this new season for Antioch.
