ReBridge Update: Urgent Prayer forLebanon

Dear Friends and Partners,
I wanted to send a quick follow-up update after the message we shared a few days ago. The
situation in Lebanon and the region continues to escalate rapidly.
In only a short period of time, the number of displaced people has risen dramatically as
families continue to flee the fighting in southern Lebanon. Many communities have been
forced to evacuate as the conflict intensifies.
This morning Pastor George Wakim from Mieh-Mieh Baptist Church sent us new pictures
from the hills above Sidon, very close to where the church and the homes receiving
displaced families are located. Some buildings in that area have received warnings that they
may soon be targeted. As of this moment nothing has happened yet, but people are living
with great uncertainty.
Many of our friends from Tyre Church have evacuated north to Beirut, where Pastor Joseph
and sister Hanan Yamout are helping care for the congregation and shepherd the flock
during this difficult time.
Even in the midst of these difficult circumstances, the church continues to gather for
worship and prayer.

buildings that Israeli authorities have warned may be targeted due to suspected militant
activity.

Tyre Church Gathering for Worship

Believers from Tyre Church gathering for worship and encouragement after many families
evacuated north.
From the outside, when we watch the news, everything can look very dark—war,
destruction, and missiles across the region. But we remind ourselves that our hope is not in
politics or governments, but in the Lord.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this age.” — Ephesians 6:12
Please pray with us for:
• Protection for believers and churches across Lebanon
• Safety for Pastor George Wakim and the Mieh-Mieh Baptist Church community
• Strength for the Tyre Church believers now gathering in Beirut
• Wisdom for leaders and governments during this dangerous moment
• Provision and comfort for the many displaced families
None of us love war. But sometimes evil must be confronted. Our prayer is that even
through this painful moment the Lord will bring something new, and that one day there will
be lasting peace in the region.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us in prayer.
